By this time Christmas will seem ages ago and all these germs I have hopefully will have gone - hence the lateness of this article!

The centre looked a picture over the holidays with the new Christmas trees and decorations blending in with the new refurbished decor.

Our Remembrance Day Craft Fayre, in December, went really well raising well over £800 for the Ellendune Hall Trust. We were particularly grateful to local businesses that supported us with donations of either gift vouchers or goods. I would mention Berry’s, the Wroughton Butchers, the Co-op and Coventry Farm Stores. Thank you for your wonderful sense of community spirit.

Over the past months I have kept you all informed about the goings on in the centre, about the new heating system and various decor changes and new flooring. However there are two people that I should have mentioned earlier, these are the ladies that are responsible for the cleanliness of the centre - Joyce and Jan. These ladies have managed what must have been something of a nightmare and overcome all in their daily work. By this, I mean keeping abreast of the dirt caused by the works in progress and, I believe, even coming in extra to tidy should the need arise. Joyce and Jan are two lovely ladies who take a great amount of pride in their work, and are a credit to the centre. I hope you all agree with me, and if you should see either of them please tell them so - and don't spare their blushes!

Anyway, onwards and upwards for the coming new year, and I’ll see you at the centre possibly on a Friday at the Country Market and Trust Coffee Morning.
